Be the change you want to see in the world...

Synopsis of Us

Lisa is au natural. She likes to have babies at home and drink slimy green liquids with large amounts of earth in them. She loves the quacks and we love her. If you are ailing, just call Lisa. She will doctor you up!

Melanie is a little bundle of energy. She's very peppy and always bouncing around. Do not drive with her. She tends to talk and visit and not watch the road. Cuts a mean hair-do!

Sarah is crazy! She loves Diet Pepsi (too much). The group photographer with many free photo shoots for her friends. Many questionable eating habits that we all ignore, hopefully they don't kill her.

Emily is an overachiever. She never sleeps and wakes up way too early so she can pratice music with her kids. She loves the earthy green drink too. Be careful, she will try to poison you with sugar-free goodies.

Jen is a dental hygienist. If you want to know which kind of gum to chew (to xylitol or not to xylitol, this is the question) she'll know.

Lana is full of crap! Literally, her house is full of crap! Yes, just stuff. If you ever need any random thing, pretty sure it's in her house... somewhere. Very competitive, don't coach children's athletics with her.

Adria is straightforward. She pretty much says it like it is. She is our community sex-ed advisor. Any questions, just ask her, she knows it all.

Marianne (one of the tall, leggy blonds) is amazing! She graduated from college while taking care of her four children and working to save the entire Chinese orphan population.

Marilyn is a perfectionist. She has to have everything at a ninety degree angle, if not, she's nervous. Hopefully this doesn't kill her. Likes to scrapbook, spends a large sum of money on this activity.

Stephanie (another tall, leggy blond) really likes to work out. Too much of a good thing is not a good thing. Nursing is her profession (not wet nursing).

Emma Update

Hi Everyone, It's Adria here...

I'm in Portland at a conference for work and for two days I've been trying to call Lana to see how everything is going but her phone goes right to voice mail. I was actually getting a bit worried so I called Jeff to see what the deal was... Lana can't find her charger!

I think Jeff is sick of everyone calling him, because when I offered to post an update, he was ALL for it! LOL

So here's the 411... Emma got out of the hospital on Friday. She goes in for another round of chemo tomorrow, and if all goes well, they'll come home to Burley on Tuesday. Jeff wasn't sure about the exact schedule, but it will be something like SLC once a week for 4 weeks for chemo, then maybe once or twice a month depending on how she responds, blood tests, etc...

I asked about her pain and fever, and he said when he talked to her today, she sounded pretty much like herself, so that is GREAT news!

Well, there you have it...
Lana, let us know if this is at all correct :-)
We're all thinking of you and Emma and your family and hoping and praying for the best!

What timing! I was just checking this from Cali for an update before we head home tomorrow. We were able to stop and see Emma and Lana on Wed before our flight left. I took all the 3rd grade cards and gifts from Mrs. Westerguard and took Lana a cafe rio salad. They seemed tired, Emma was a little touchy but we didn't stay forever because Briar decided to throw up in the biohazard trashcan in the hallway. The nurses seemed to frown on that but she was just carsick!! Anyway, your update Adria matched what I had heard that visit.

OH that was so lame! It cut off like my whole dang post!!GRRRRRRRR ok, I am so relieved to hear an update. I have tried to call too but not too much as I am sure she gets sick of repeating all the happenings. I am so glad she got sprung from the joint on Friday! I am sure she'll miss that tech Laura though...... she was a winner!!
Well, kisses to Emma and a hug for Lana from ALL the Mallorys.
Today they announced at Sacrament Meeting that the whole ward will be fasting for Emma next week. So there ya go.....
Lana, your stucco is about to go on and it's pink just for Emma. I took the liberty of changing it for you. I knew you'd agree she needed a good laugh when she gets home..... OK, not really but your house looks great and um...... we can't wait to have you in.
Well, over and out! We love love you!!!

OK, so I can't remember the sign-in stuff to put a post on our blog and I can't call Lana to get it! So, just an update on Adria's update...I talked to Lana tonight, and they are actually planning on coming home tomorrow afternoon as long as all goes well with her chemo. However, as you may be aware, Emma can't be around a lot of people, so Lana's quarantine signs will be going back up! Emma has NO immune system right now and cannot be exposed to anything or it can be very serious! So, there's a bit more info for all of you. Things are going well for them, and they are both very excited to be coming home. Lana misses her Carly!
